Why This Blog?

Welcome!

Come in and make yourself at home. I'm so happy to be able to share my recipes here with you.

I bake mostly cookies, quick breads, muffins and scones -- sometimes pie, sometimes cake, but nothing too fancy. I prefer simple recipes that call for ingredients that I already have in my kitchen.

These are the recipes I will share with you. They come from family and friends, magazine clippings saved through the years, favorite cookbooks, and other blogs.

I'm so glad you came to visit. Enjoy your stay!

Chocolate Banana Nut Muffins

Look what I just made! Don't they look yummy?  All I did was add 1/4 cup baking cocoa powder to the Banana Nut Bread recipe that I posted earlier this week. I am UP TO HERE with bananas and needed to try something different. I was just going to add mini chocolate chips, but decided to try this instead. Of course, you COULD do both! Try it, you'll like it!

  1. I had to write my own comment since no one else would! This post felt lonely. These were good! Really!

  2. Hi - Thanks for stopping by Family, Scrapbooks & Coffee! These muffins look FABULOUS. Do you think, as a non-baker, I could make them? Are they simple? The recipe looks like something I could do but ... I don't know. LOL
    :-)
    Have a great day!
